Stopped in for a light lunch on a Friday, the staff were lovely and welcoming. No worries at all as we picked and chose things from different menus, and quick to serve drinks to the table. Delicious food, nicely presented, and just really well done. Always a pleasure to visit.

Good place to have lunch, we liked the 'budget' menu deal that was much less than the full a la carte. They have done nice comfy sofas where you can watch the sea while drinking your coffee. Very relaxed atmosphere.

We stayed here as part of a family do and had a great time. We spent the afternoon in the garden drinking (and playing on the rocks), had dinner and enjoyed the live music. The staff were brilliant, setting lovely and dinner (and breakfast) were excellent. Such a lovely place to stay and dog friendly!

Had lunch here on a lovely May day- managed to get a set in the gardens overlooking the water - just fantastic views. We ordered food and drinks from the crab shack in the grounds - fried chicken burger and 1/2 pint of prawns (came with chips to share). Very tasty indeed. The gardens are well maintained and slope down towards the water. There is shade up on the terraced area, but it gets pretty hot further down in the sunshine.

Michelin recommended restaurant with two vegan dishes per course. Very delicious , creative, and ultimately filling. Beautiful views. Just ate at the restaurant. A bit expensive but makes sense for a restaurant aiming to be a regional landmark

During our stay in Mousehole, we had breakfast at The Old Coastguard - a charming pub with a stunning view of the sea. Although the weather didn’t quite cooperate (cloudy and windy, so no sitting outside), the experience inside more than made up for it. I had the grilled Newlyn boat fish along with a pint of what was described as their finest beer - I believe it was a lager, though I didn’t catch the name. Either way, it was a perfect pairing. The fish was incredibly fresh and full of flavour, clearly well-sourced and simply but beautifully prepared. What made the experience even better was the service. Our server, she was absolutely charming and kind, making us feel welcome and well taken care of. The pub itself has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, and even without the sunshine, the view through the windows gave us that classic Cornish coastal feel. If you’re in the area, this place is well worth a visit for a relaxed breakfast with quality ingredients and local charm.
